Psalm 23:1  “The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.”

Not only is God our Good Shepherd but through Jesus, He also became our Passover lamb; taking our sin willingly upon his holy self, in order that we’d be set free from the penalty of our sin and thereby opening the way for us to enter into eternal life with Him.

John 10:14-15 & 27 speak of Jesus being the Good Shepherd – the One who knows his sheep and who faithfully leads and provides for his sheep.

As his sheep, are we listening to his voice and are we willing to follow him wherever and however he leads?

Hebrews 13:20-21  “May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will & may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever & ever. Amen.”

  • Praise God for the perfect and trustworthy Shepherd He is.
  • Take some time to be still and to ask God to reveal to you anything He wants you to be surrendering to him.  Seek his help in following him in obedience and allowing him to transform and ‘work in you what is pleasing to him.’
