Why does 8FIFTEEN Youth exist?

Amid a society dominated by values that are so anti-God, we have seen a need to create a space where the young people of the church can journey together, ask questions, and build relationships with like-minded people.

As Sons and Daughters of a Father who is King, Creator, Lover, and Saviour, 8FIFTEEN Youth seeks to champion exactly what Paul states in Romans 8:15.

We disciple and we gather in pursuit of this very thing. To see our youth be transformed and live out their lives as sons and daughters of the King.

What is 8FIFTEEN Youth?

In short, we’re a youth ministry run by a bunch of dedicated and passionate people from Hope Revolution! Our desire is to create a space for youth in school years 7 to 12, to allow them to know, believe and grow in their value, worth, identity and purpose in truth.

At Hope Revolution, we believe that young people are an integral part of the church body. Thus, our youth ministry team strives to foster a healthy discipleship culture whereby young people feel safe, included, challenged and empowered within this body.

What does this look like practically?
– Friday Night youth events which are held fortnightly
– One on one mentoring of young people, in liaison with parents/carers
– Youth are encouraged to be involved in Activate and Growth Groups

Anyone of high school age is welcome to participate, whether they are associated with Hope Revolution in any other way or not.

All youth ministry team members are required to have a valid Victorian Working with Children Check, sign the Hope Revolution Leaders’ Code of Conduct, and are supported by and accountable to the Hope Revolution leadership team on a regular basis.
