Isaiah 40:28 “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom.”
El means strength and unlimited power. The name Elohim is a plural noun and thereby testifying to the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit), all being present at creation. How awesome it is to think upon this… that God as the Everlasting Father, the Saviour and the wonderful counsellor (Isaiah 9:6) was before all that was created and involved in creation!
The very first sentences in the bible, Genesis 1:1-2, open with declaring God as the Creator and proclaiming His power. At His Word, everything was created; through His breath, life is given and sustained.
- Take time today to meditate upon God as the mighty Creator and praise Him for revealing Himself through his creation.
