Exodus 3:14  “God said to Moses,  “I AM WHO I AM.  This is what you are to say to the Israelites, “I AM” has sent me to you.”

Also known as Jehovah, this is the most sacred name to Jewish scribes; so much so, they won’t pronounce it but rather, they’ll choose to use another name when able to.

In English, the name is translated as LORD.  How much do I revere His name?

In Exodus 3:14, God declares Himself for the first time as “I AM WHO I AM”, as He calls Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.  God is reminding Moses of His sovereignty, His sufficiency and that He is always present.  He is the One who always has been, always will be and all we need can be found in Him.

How wonderful to know, that as we choose to follow God in whatever He calls us to, we go with the One who is “I AM” and who dwells within us.

2 Corinthians 12:9  “But he said to me,  “My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness.”

  • Praise God for who He is and that His grace is sufficient for our every need.
  • You might like to take some time to meditate upon Jesus’ declarations of who he is and what he promises in the book of John…..6:35, 8:12, 10:8 & 11, 11:25, 14:6 & 15:5.
