Genesis 16:13   ‘She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her.  “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

Hagar, Sarai’s maidservant, gave this name to God having experienced God meeting her in the wilderness where she’d fled to in her distress.

God reminds Hagar that He sees her pain and her loneliness;  that He hasn’t forgotten her and assuring her of His presence.

How wonderful to know that we are seen and known by God.  No one is forgotten by Him!

Matthew 6:29-31  “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?  Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.  And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

  • Praise God for His eyes always being upon us and for His intimate love for us.
  • Ask God to show you if there’s someone He wants you to encourage with this truth today.
